What is next in the multiverse of Sarah J. Maas?

In March 2023, Maas inked a new four-book deal with Bloomsbury, building upon an existing three-book contract that encompassed “House of Flame and Shadow.” This means fans can anticipate at least six more books from Maas.

The next eagerly awaited release is the sixth installment in ACOTAR, with speculation rife that it will delve into the stories of Feyre’s sister Elain and Azriel, mirroring the depth A Court of Silver Flames brought to Nesta and Cassian’s narratives. Following ACOTAR six, Maas hinted at a more secretive project, shrouded in mystery. “I’m not going to say what world it’s in. I’m not going to say anything,” she revealed. “But it’s a story that’s been brewing in the back of my mind for a long time…I think it’s going to be a very emotional book for me to write in terms of the world and characters.”

Additionally, Maas confirmed the existence of a fourth Crescent City book, though it sits further down the lineup of her upcoming projects. “You will have to wait a bit,” she teased. “But I know who the book’s about. I know the big ideas of what I want to happen.”
